HEINE Finoff Transilluminator is now equipped with the LEDHQ module as standard

Dear HEINE product users,

As with other HEINE instruments - such as direct ophthalmoscopes or retinoscopes - the HEINE Finoff transilluminator is now also equipped as standard with replaceable HEINE LED^HQ modules.

The Finoff transilluminator for scleral transillumination is available in two versions:

• Updated version with LED^HQ module: Finoff Transilluminator 3.5 V LED
  Item number C-002.17.080 (same as before)
• New version with LED^HQ module: Finoff Transilluminator 2.5 V LED
  Item number C-001.17.080

The new instrument heads with LED^HQ modules differ slightly in appearance from the previous LED versions:

Product update for users with XHL instruments

Individual LED^HQ modules are also available for upgrading older Finoff transilluminators with XHL lamps. The XHL lamp can be replaced by an LED^HQ module with the corresponding voltage (2.5 V or 3.5 V - depending on the handle used).

We recommend using only original HEINE spare parts, as this is the only way to maintain the warranty.

Replacement of old XHL lamps is performed as follows:

• X-001.88.077 XHL xenon halogen lamp 2.5 V
  replace with X-028.88.132 LED^HQ module 2.5 V
• X-002.88.078 XHL xenon halogen lamp 3.5 V
  replace with X-008.88.133 LED^HQ module 3.5 V

The user can easily and quickly replace the XHL lamp with the LED^HQ module: remove the XHL lamp from the instrument head as with a regular replacement and insert the new module. Additional information about upgrading to LED^HQ is available via this link.
